The only information we collect about you is provided by you or is obtained by us with your permission to process your transactions, to fulfill your requests, and to maintain our membership records.

Credit/Bank Cards and Checks

This information will be provided to and maintained by reputable credit authorizers, but will never be sold, shared, or provided to other third parties.
We will never make purchases or charges using your information. Only you can initiate the purchase on your end or give us permission to use your information to make a purchase. An example of the latter being you making a purchase over the phone and requesting we charge your card.

We use industry accepted tools and procedures to protect our electronic records. We additionally protect physical copies of personal information in a manner similar to what has been described in this policy.
Please be aware that due to the open nature of the Internet, we cannot guarantee that communication will be free from unauthorized access by third parties. An example of such being a comment you make on our blog or on a social media post.
GDWCAR cannot be responsible for members’, affiliates, and service providers’ information stolen from our website by information harvesting software which may have the ability to scrape data, such as your email address.

Although we take security very seriously, should the worst happen and any data is compromised we will notify you by email within 72 hours.
Disclosure and Handling of Personal Information
Association staff who work directly with membership data entry, billing, or accounts receivable have access to personal information in GDWCAR company files. Personal information is not given to other members, affiliates, or consumers. Personal information is never made publicly available unless you request it, an example of such a situation being below.
If you are an affiliate or board member and request your email address be made publicly available on our website (an example being on the Affiliates page where members can find contact information for our affiliates), your email address will made visible to anyone with internet access.
By giving us permission to put your email address on a webpage, you understand that you may receive unsolicited emails. You additionally understand that GDWCAR has no control over who can email you once your email address is publicly available.
Modification of Personal Information
GDWCAR offers you the opportunity to correct or to update your contact information using our “Change of Contact” form located at gdwcar.com/forms. If you have any concerns, please feel free to notify us by e-mail.
GDWCAR staff will not modify your personal information unless you deliberately request that modifications to be made. We can only modify your information as you request it. We never modify your information at the request of others.
Data Retention
We only retain information collected from you for as long as your account is active or otherwise for a limited period of time as long as we need it to fulfill the purposes for which we have initially collected it, unless otherwise required by law. Our Commitment To Children's Privacy
